Help Us Build Our Iconostasis!
Earlier this year we received the blessing from Bishop Paul to build a proper Iconostasis at Annunciation! This September we received some beautiful plans from well-known Orthodox designer, Andrew Gould. We are ready to begin building so we are looking for those who have experience in carpentry and / or construction (and a couple gophers) to come and help on Saturdays during December.
Type of Work:
Volunteers will be working indoors and outdoors, following a set of construction plans to purchase materials, cut lumber to size, sand, stain, varnish, and construct the iconostasis. We will also need at least two “gopher” assistants each Saturday to fetch needed materials and keep the inside of the church swept and clean during construction.
Requirements & Preparation:
Volunteers should be ready to work with and around power tools and bring necessary protection (safety glasses, gloves, etc). Some tools will be available but bringing tools is advised (tape measure, battery-powered drill, and hammer).
