Annunciation Family Camp 2024

Sunday, May 26th to Friday, May 31st

For the second year in a row, we’ll be holding our Family Camp at Camp Brim Shire in St. James, MO, just 15 minutes from Annunciation! Costs per person are still extremely reasonable at $3/day of attendance, $2.40/night, $5/meal, and $10/t-shirt or $110/person for the whole week!
(Infants under the age of 2 are free.)

Scholarships Available

We encourage all families of Annunciation to apply for the Archbishop Job Scholarship which will cover ALL camp costs for your kids!

Sunday Evening (May 26)

5:00 – Arrival
5:30 – Tour of Grounds and Unpack (sleeping assignments determined)
6:30 – Hotdogs over the Campfire
7:30 – Evening Prayers & Blessing of Camp
8:30 – Go to Cabin to prepare for bed
9:00 – Bed Time (Older kids and grown ups in bed whenever parents want)

Monday (May 27, Memorial Day)

8:00 – Rise and Shine
8:30 – Morning Prayers & Memorial Service
9:00 – Breakfast and Clean Up
10:00 – Free Time (Whiffle Ball, kids vs. adults, etc.)
12:30 – Lunch and Kitchen Clean Up
2:00 – Afternoon Open Activities (Swimming, walking trails, sporting games, board games and puzzles at dining hall, ultimate tag, fishing, squirt gun fight, etc.)
5:30 – Grill Out for Supper
7:00 – Evening Prayers
8:00 – Campfire and S’mores
9:00 – Bed Time (Older kids and grown ups in bed whenever parents want)

Tuesday/Thursday (May 28, 30)

7:30 – Rise and Shine
8:00 – Morning Prayers
8:30 – Breakfast and Clean Up
9:30 – Talk & Crafts (One for kids under 13, One for adults and 13+)
10:30 – Group Activity (Scavenger Hunt, etc.)
12:30 – Lunch and Kitchen Clean Up
2:00 – Afternoon Open Activities (Swimming, walking trails, sporting games, board games and puzzles at dining hall, ultimate tag, fishing, squirt gun fight /service project on Thursday afternoon, etc.)
5:30 – Supper
6:15 – Kitchen Clean Up then Evening Prayers (Vespers on Tuesday night)
7:00 – Evening Activity then Campfire (Fishing, Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee, Virginia Reel, etc.)
9:00 – Bed Time (Older kids and grown ups in bed whenever parents want)

Wednesday Morning Schedule Changes (May 29)

8:00 – Rise and Shine
9:00 – Load Up to Drive to Church
9:40 – Hours and Liturgy for Midfeast of Pentecost, Blessing of Water
12:00 – Coffee and Lunch back at camp
1:00 – Back to regular schedule

7:30 – Rise and Shine
8:00 – Morning Prayers
8:30 – Breakfast and Kitchen Clean Up
9:30 – Talk (all together)
10:30 – Campground Clean Up
12:00 – Sack Lunch Picnic Style (Maybe at St. James Park)
